How EduCare collects, uses and protects information about your child and your household.
Last updated: draft version
Draft — not legal advice. This is placeholder wording for review. Final copy must be checked by a qualified lawyer before launch, especially for children's privacy requirements under South Africa's POPIA.
When a parent or guardian creates an account, we collect:
We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your child's data for advertising or ad targeting.
We use a small number of service providers who process data on our instructions and under contract:
A current, named list of processors will be published on this page before launch and kept up to date.
As the account holder, you can ask us at any time to give you a copy of your child's data, correct it, or delete it. You can also withdraw consent, which closes the child's profile.
Contact for requests: support@educareapp.co.za. We aim to respond within 30 days.
EduCare is intended for learners in Grades 4-7. Accounts must be created by a parent or guardian, who provides consent for the child's use of the app. Children cannot create accounts, enter billing details, or change privacy settings themselves.
We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences such as the selected subject, and understand how features are used. They are not used for advertising. You can clear them in your browser at any time.
See the Data & Security page for how learner data is protected, and the Terms of Service for account and billing terms.
